Having to stay up late was gross. She hated it, and right now she really was hating homework. So maybe she shouldn’t have spent the day wandering around but she didn’t feel like spending time on homework all day. Carissa had a hard time sitting back for a long period of time unless she was writing or drawing on her own free will but other then that she hated it. She didn’t mind homework once in a while but the teachers were loading it up. Carissa never stayed in her actual dorm room or anything though when she did her homework so she was at the cafe with her coffee beside her. Yes she was drinking coffee. It normally wasn’t a good mix with Carissa as she got really hyper really easily but it was about 11 and she had been working on homework for about 6 hours straight and she was completely drained. Math books, science books, English books were all open around her on a table. She only had like an hour before this store closed and she wasn’t even close to finishing her homework, she was about to fall asleep here.
Normally Carissa didn’t go to bed till one two in the morning at the earliest but when she did homework like this she always fell asleep by like 10. It was crazy but she needed to finish this. It was Sunday night and everything was due tomorrow. She didn’t know what teachers had with making projects due on the Mondays but it so wasn’t cool. It was better when the dates were all spread over the place then she wouldn’t be so stressed about it now when she had everything due and at once. She was going to be up all night ding this and her fingers were hurting. Too much typing on her lab top. Ewww she was really feeling like throwing her lab top out the stores window. She wondered how much trouble she would get in for that. It would be interesting to see how much just that one window did cost to replace.
Running her fingers through her hair distracted of course she looked down at her English paper and stuck her tongue out at it ‘ hmm this should be interesting on how bad I do on this essay’ she murmured looking at the page again. It was only two pages long and it needed to be like 7. Uhh stupid English teacher and what they expected of people. It didn’t help that Carissa was a bit of a perfectionist and needed everything to be done just perfectly. She had her science work done and her math but she still had to finish this English, art project and some sort of law project whatever that was. She was so screwed. She wondered how quickly she could make herself look sick. Actually for her it would probably take a bit because her teachers were used to her being so pale so they wouldn’t believe it as easily as they would others. Stupid pale skin.
Taking a small sip of her coffee she looked up as the last customer left and she found herself meeting gaze with the stern glare of the manger indicating she had to leave. Frowning she packed up her stuff and slung her bag over her shoulder and stuck her lab top under her arm and threw out her coffee and walked out of the store and collapsed down leaning against the building of the coffee shop. Stupid people and closing the store. Why couldn’t it just be open all night. In about a minute the lights were out and she was sitting there in the dark with her lab top in her lap and she opened it waiting for it to start up once again. She probably shouldn’t be sitting in the street so late at night and with a lab top and stuff that she needed. If she was ever mugged she would be completely screwed and she wasn’t that strong, nor did she look it. Anyone could easily stow away with her lab top without much effort really.
As her computer finally started she sighed and went back to her English work. She so hoped she wasn’t the only one doing this though she was probably the only one that actually would do her homework on the street. She knew she probably would be getting evil glares from the people from the cafe as they left but she would probably stay here against the wall well until the early morning and then be depressingly tired during the day. Good thing she had no presentations tomorrow then she would just skip the day for that but she knew if she skipped tomorrow they would know she wasn’t sick because that was literally when everyone skipped off because of the homework thing. Carissa is just one of those people who needed good grades. And she got them most of the time but then she struggled as well but she was too stubborn to get a tutor. She always thought that it would be weird. Especially with someone her own age. So she just made it that homework was like one of her top efforts. She just got distracted to easily. It really wasn’t her fault.
